Turn It Off
A fabulous concert opener, Turn It Off!, is just the thing to kick off just about any program. With a nod to barbershop harmonies, the text details the litany of handheld devices that we all ask folks to turn off or silence. Instead of asking, sing it to them instead!
Available in SATB, SSAA and TTBB.
I Never Saw Another Butterfly
With over 4,000 performances since its first printing, this musical memorial to the Holocaust and the 15,000 children of the Terezin concentration camp has had special performances by the American Boy Choir of Princeton in the White House Rotunda and at the Holy See in Rome. The folio contains nine poignant settings taken from the children's poetry.
A favorite of amateur, and professional boys' and girls' choirs and suitable for high school, college, women's and community choirs.
Songs include: It All Depends on how You Look at It, Man Proposes God Disposes, Terezin, The Butterfly, The Garden, The Little Mouse, On a Sunny Evening, Yes That's the Way Things Are, Birdsong.
Often programed as Solo Voice with Piano, often with violin obligato. Choose SSA Chorus and Piano Score below.
A Weekday Ma'ariv Service (Veyismach Libeinu)
Commissioned by the Cantor's Assembly of America.
Weekday Ma'ariv with instruments.
For Cantor (medium range voice), congregation, treble voice choir (optional), keyboard, with optional instruments (clarinet, electric guitar, percussion). Could be used as a prelude to special occasions in the synagogue (dedications, Independence day celebrations, synagogue functions). Available in several formats.
Wonderfully easy to perform; a lively, tuneful and authentic musical Ma'ariv for any occasion, combining klezmer and nusach ha-tefillah for a rollicking conclusion with a spirited Adon Olam.
